This is Palatki Ruins in Sedona - one of many historic pueblo settlements. This one is dated from about 900 AD. They only let 10 people at a time up to the ruins.

This is Montezuma's Castle - where they believe the people lived after leaving Palatki during a drought. The photo below is Tuzigoot - another settlement.

And last, but not least... some cacti.. the kind with serious spikes.

I could live here.

There's something about the 'vibe" in Sedona. The locals believe its the "votex" kind of a metaphysical kind of power. Whatever the reason, it would be an outstanding place to spend the winter - even though it can get a bit chilly.

Hmm. There's an ownership kind of cabin resort that looks great. And there's sites for the motorhome. I'm afraid to investigate further.

We've been here a week and we have investigated Prescott and Sedona, driven through Jerome (for a later visit) and taken the atvs out on an adventure near the campground. Today we are staying in due to rain and wind. But that just means Steve has the firepit going outside. AND we are trying to keep the site next to us occupied so Helen and Bruce can get it when they arrive tomorrow. But since that's frowned on... we'll see what happens.

It's a little expensive - okay, very expensive. There are hidden resorts/country clubs nearly down every road. We got used to saying to the fancy gate guy - yep, we're turning around yet again.

The window's not moving..

It's time to revive this blog (from 2016 apparently!) I've been planning to do this sometime over the three months since we first left...
